I am an argentine self-taught underwater photographer, born in Buenos Aires.
I have been doing underwater photography for years, mostly in black and white. Some of my work in black and white, can be seen at www.light-underwater.com.ar.
I am a 3-stars CMAS certified diver, with more of 50 dives under the frozen sea, as well as several hundred dives in warm and temperate waters.
I have also some basic ice climbing skills, learnt in training periods in Antarctica and Patagonia.
I am/was also a Surgeon, with a Postgraduate Degree in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine, although, I have changed career to dedicate to photography. It is not an easy task, however, and no, I am not a rich doctor.
After diving and photographing the Brazil coasts, and many Caribbean islands, I've been recently more focused in cold waters.
I've spent several seasons in Patagonia, and two entire years in Antarctica, diving under the frozen sea.
I've also made nature, landscape and street photography, and tried several alternative photographic processes.
I am currently working in a editorial and documentary project involving cold and polar environments, both over and underwater, and also, working with biologists and the National Parks Administration, surveying and documenting the underwater biology of andean lakes.
However, I am slowly focusing my work towards travel photography in general.
I am available for working abroad. I speak English fluently and understand and can speak a bit of Italian, French and Portuguese.
I have a lot of experience in Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign.
I also do underwater video, and directed a short movie ("Neptune's wrath") that won second prize in an international antarctic film festival, that McMurdo Station (USA) organizes every year, to celebrate June 21st (Midwinter´s day). You can watch it at Vimeo and at YouTube.
Please, do not hesitate to contact me at the e-mail address below, for any question, or if you think I can be of help for your project.
Thank you very much for your time!
